Sometimes it’s all too easy to get caught up in the big picture. The amazing grades and toned body that you want. And as useful as it is to have long term goals, people often get hung up on it and don’t focus on their little victories. Focusing on those victories can make you a happier person I feel. As someone who really needs whatever help I can get to make myself happy, focusing on the little things really help.
An easy way to do this is to break down tasks, so write a list and instead of writing “do maths homework” Split them into two or three or however much your teacher decided to torture you with this time. E.g “do ____ sheet” and “____ questions” that way you have a clear map of what you need to do and it’s pretty damn satisfying to highlight/ tick off each achievement as you go along. If you don’t usually make your bed, be proud of yourself when you do and take a moment to notice how your room look a little bit neater. (Try and avoid looking at ‘that pile’ in the corner of your room for now)
That’s all for now folks, until next time.
